Energy Efficiency Consulting, Sales & Project Manager

Stout Consulting and Alliance Energy Solutions

multi-regional, turn-key Energy Services Company (ESCO) located in Denver CO & Oxford CT.. AES takes full responsibility for its projects, providing customers with a single point of contact. Focused primarily on energy efficient lighting, AES also implements comprehensive conservation projects deriving additional energy savings from HVAC systems, direct digital controls, compressor upgrades, and industrial process improvements. AES has expertise in securing federal, state, local incentives, rebates and tax benefits and can provide interest-free loans for energy savings projects.

AES offers a Total Value Proposition (TVP) which encompasses all of the components of a successful energy project.

The AES customer base is broad, including manufacturing, retail, commercial, health care, recreational, educational and governmental buildings. In 2007, AES completed over four hundred energy conservation projects.

EPAct (Energy Policy Act) extended until 2013 - substantial tax incentive from the federal government for a qualifying energy efficient lighting system.

Kent School

“The pool area and tennis court lighting was first rate. The facility looks refreshed. All the lamps are the same color and the project eliminated ballasts that were buzzing or simply not working. Our maintenance crews will have more time for other jobs, too.”

- Joe Wolinski, Director of Facilities

International Skating Center of CT

“The crew was great. They worked a schedule to accommodate rink time and completed the project ahead of budget. The lighting is far better than it was and the instant-on lighting avoids delays, maximizing rink time. It seems we are saving $100 per day in energy costs.”

- General Manager Dave Roberts

ITW Anchor Stampings

“In order to remain competitive, our division must relentlessly improve processes and reduce waste. Our automotive customers seek to lower prices from year to year. In light of ever-rising labor and healthcare costs, we clearly see savings on our utility bills as an area of opportunity.”

- Tony Pascariello, Business Unit Manager

What We Do...

  • Initial Meeting
    • Introduction to Alliance Energy Solutions and its services.
      • Discuss customer's goals and objectives.
      • Set expectations and timeframes.

  • Energy Audit/Assessment
    • A detailed, room-by-room assessment is completed. Some of the
information your Energy Consultant will make note of includes:
      • Hours of Operation
      • Square Footage of your facility (for EPAct purposes)
      • Types of Measures (T12's, Metal Halides, HPS's, etc...)
      • Location of Measures and quantities
      • Cost of Electricity

  • Project Analysis
    • A Program Manager will begin analyzing the data received from your
      Energy Consultant.
    • The Program Manager will discuss the customer's goals and objectives
with the Energy Consultant to determine the appropriate new Measures to be installed at the customer's facility.
    • If a State or a Utility Rebate is available for this project, the Program
Manager will identify such rebate and use its value in the project's
      financial analysis.

    • EPAct (Energy Policy Act of 2005) allows for a one-time tax deduction by companies to complete an energy project before the end of 2013. This tax deduction is allowed to be taken in the year the project is completed. The Program Manager will calculate the expected tax incentive and its
value will be factored into the financial analysis of the proposed project.
    • The Program Manager will then complete a pre and post analysis of the
facilities energy consumption using both the old and new fixtures/measures, as well as the EPAct incentive and any rebates that are available.
    • The formal proposal is created for the Energy Consultant to present to the customer.

  • Presentation of Proposal to Customer
    • The Energy Consultant will present a general scope of work to be
performed, the financial analysis of the project, an environmental impact
analysis, and financing options, if needed.
    • Once the customer decides to move forward, a Project Manager is
assigned to facilitate the project's implementation.

  • Pre-Construction Review
    • An AES Project Manager conducts a room-by-room analysis of the facility to determine all construction requirements and discusses the installation process with the customer. Since this is a 100% turn-key solution, the Project Manager will facilitate and manage all aspects of the project.

  • Installation
    • Working under the close supervision of the Project Manager, Alliance Energy Solutions installs or retrofits the new energy conservation measures.

  • Post-Installation Review
    • Upon completion of the installation, an Alliance Energy Solutions Certified Energy Manager will conduct a post-installation review to certify the project has met all of the requirements for the EPAct tax incentive. If a Utility incentive was available, AES will work with the Utility to certify that all of the specified work has been completed.

  • Project Completion
    • The paperwork is finalized as needed.
